Hermann, MO — Dr. Amy Alexander Fleming, of Mid-Missouri Hearing and Balance Center, Inc., will begin seeing patients at Hermann Area District Hospital’s outpatient clinic on Thursdays, beginning February 19, 2015. She accepts patients by appointment and on a walk-in basis.

A clinical audiologist for fifteen years, Dr. Fleming practices in the Jefferson City, Osage Beach and Fulton areas in addition to her new duties in Hermann. She specializes in adult and pediatric hearing loss and hearing aids as well as aural and balance evaluation and rehabilitation.

A passion for assisting the hearing impaired runs in the family, says Dr. Fleming. “I am the third generation in my family to work with hearing loss. My father is the retired superintendent of the Missouri School for the Deaf, my mother is a retired deaf educator and director of special education for Columbia Public Schools, and my grandmother was the retired principal of Missouri School for the Deaf.”

“My goal has always been to help people improve their hearing,” she explains. “The technology available in hearing instruments today has inspired many to achieve life changing success. You are never too young or too old to experience the benefits of these extraordinary tools. Everyone deserves better hearing now, and great hearing for life.”
